SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The controversial Syracuse aquarium is due to open by July of 2026, according to Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon, who also states that the funding is keeping pace with construction.
McMahon, the aquarium’s biggest supporter, faced a funding gap when the project’s cost extended far beyond what he had promised it would initially.
