SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Mayor Ben Walsh expressed frustration at a press conference on Wednesday over recent antics in Armory Square.
“What we have been seeing in Armory Square in recent weekends, we’ve seen for multiple years and in multiple places,” Mayor Walsh said. “The frustrating thing is that it moves around.”

The mayor and County Executive Ryan McMahon are ready to squash any future problems. McMahon says there is now an increase in probation patrols.
“They are doing Armory Square details and other details throughout the community and business districts,” McMahon said. “We see nightlife as a proactive way to send a message that we have safe business districts and that the business districts are for patrons and not for wild, rowdy behavior.”…
