Girl reported abducted in Upstate NY found dead with ‘no indication’ of abduction: A 9-year-old girl who was reported abducted Saturday evening in the town of Ticonderoga has been found dead with “no indication” of having been abducted, troopers said. Melina Frattolin was originally reported abducted in Lake George and last seen in a van on I-87, but police say they have identified “inconsistencies” in the father’s account of events and the timeline he provided.

Central NY mom, son and family’s 3 dogs killed in three-vehicle crash: A mother, her 16-year-old son and the family’s three dogs were killed Thursday when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Lewis County, troopers said. Killed in the crash were Natasha M. Spellicy, 39, of Taberg, and her son, Tyler Spellicy, an 11th grader at Camden High School. Police said Natasha failed to stop at an intersection when the tractor-trailer hit the driver’s side of the vehicle…
