Syracuse church responds after deportation of mother and her kids

A church community is speaking out after a mother and her four children, three of them American-born, were deported to Guatemala.

Last month, Paula Ramirez and her children — ages 13, 10, 9, and 6 — reported to the Syracuse Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, complying with a detainment order. Her husband had been arrested by immigration officials at their home just days earlier.
