While speaking about crime in New York state on Wednesday morning, Gov. Kathy Hochul expressed her support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) efforts to remove criminals from communities, but believes they are being “overly aggressive.”
Hochul also emphasized her opposition to using local police resources for immigration enforcement.
“I resent ICE intruding in our communities,” Hochul said. “They’ve been overly aggressive. They’re hurting our businesses and our families and people who have been hard-working members of our society, some for decades, and I’m really angry about that.”…
