CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)— What is supposed to be an intersection improvement project has turned into a daily headache for those who live and work near Route 31’s Thompson Road and Torchwood Lane’s new roundabout in Cicero.
Construction on the new roundabout began late in the spring. Since then, drivers have been dealing with detours, backups, and lane changes for months. Homeowners on Torchwood Lane, such as Sajad Hasan, say the project has been dragging on, and neighbors in the area say their patience is running thin.
“Honestly, everyone thinks the same thing, you know, there’s no point in it,” said Hasan, “There’s just no point in it, they wanted to do it how they’re doing it right now, they should have gotten it done in a lesser time frame.”…
