Vendors seeing less people than normal at the State Fair due to weather

GEDDES, N.Y. — The Great New York State Fair kicked off its opening day with a chilly start. This didn’t stop thousands from visiting the fairgrounds to enjoy the 13-day-long event.

Those working at the fair see fewer people most years on opening day. The slow day does help prepare these businesses for their busiest days: the weekend.
