Man arrested following ‘high risk search warrant’ involving SWAT team in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department made an arrest early Tuesday morning in what it called a “high risk search warrant.”

Syracuse Police charged Shamiek Robinson, 38, with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a firearm. Police noted he is on parole.

The police department said, that on Aug. 12, around 6:46 p.m., members of the Criminal Investigations Division initiated a gun investigation in the 2100 block of East Fayette Street, Parkside Commons.
