Drunk Driving Stop in Warren Produces Stolen Police Gun From Syracuse, N.Y. From 1979

Michigan State Police made a traffic stop for a suspected drunk driver on Wednesday and discovered a gun that had been stolen from the Syracuse, N.Y., police in 1979.

At 12:05 a.m., state troopers were patrolling near Dequindre and 8 Mile Road in Warren when they spotted a driver make an improper turn onto a residential street. The driver then accelerated to 45 mph in a 25 mph zone, Michigan State Police said.
