GEDDES, N.Y. — The Powerball jackpot has risen to $950 million, drawing crowds at the Great New York State Fair as hopeful fairgoers line up for their chance at the jackpot.
Joan Hodgens, a lottery agent at the fair, highlighted the perks of purchasing tickets on-site. “There are so many advantages of here or buying tickets here because we give all kinds of prizes, promotions, you can come and get three free instant tickets,” she said.
