Another set of stairs. Same story. Same neglect.

While the Westminster Park stairs sit barricaded with no timeline and ballooning costs, the stairs at the southwest corner of Lemoyne Avenue and Second North Street — a residential area on the city’s North Side, next to 1st Ward Park where kids play — have been rotting long before a performative design bid was quietly tossed out in 2022. No updates. No transparency. No safe way to cross the street…
