Syracuse may pay $110K to passenger of drunk driver who hit recycling truck

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse taxpayers may foot the bill for a $110,000 settlement in a lawsuit filed by a passenger in a vehicle driven by a drunk driver that collided with a city recycling truck in 2020.

Weeks before a scheduled trial, the city agreed to a settlement in a case that’s dragged through the court system for more than five years.
