Skaneateles, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Health Department has issued a blue-green algae advisory for Skaneateles Lake after state officials confirmed a harmful algal bloom.
Testing detected microcystin toxins which are produced by certain types of blue-green algae in raw, untreated lake water, officials said Friday.
