Man accused of speeding in school zone and lying to police

A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving 60 miles per hour in a school zone and lying to police to avoid a ticket. The incident occurred near Minoa Elementary School around noon on Thursday.

Police said the driver, claimed he was speeding to report an armed suspect at a local gas station. However, this turned out to be false.
