Utility pole fire on Syracuse’s James Street sends smoke into the surrounding area

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — On Saturday morning just around 5:30, Syracuse first responders received a report of a utility pole fire where James Street meets Sedgwick Drive. The fire sent smoke into surrounding neighborhoods.

Syracuse Firefighters put it out, and shut off power in the surrounding area.
