Ithaca, N.Y. – A man who is the subject of a large ongoing search in an Ithaca-area state park is from Syracuse, according to a state official.
Search teams, including divers, dogs and drones, have been scouring the 811-acre Buttermilk Falls State Park since Monday. The search resumed again Friday, said John Craig, a spokesperson for the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
Searchers are looking for Jonathan “Jon” D. D’Agostino, a 20-year-old man from Syracuse, who is a former Ithaca College student, Craig said. He last attended the college in 2023, and currently lives in Syracuse with his father, Craig said…
