Cameras installed in Cato to track traffic, aid investigations

New surveillance cameras at a busy Cato intersection are meant to monitor traffic and help solve crimes, according to The Citizen.

Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck said the devices—funded by FEMA—were installed at Routes 34 and 370 to identify vehicles passing through. He declined to share more details, citing security concerns.
