SU students to be charged with hate crimes, one accused of throwing pork at Rosh Hashanah celebration

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two Syracuse University students are being charged with hate crimes, one of them accused of crashing a fraternity’s Rosh Hashanah dinner and throwing pork on the walls and floor.

The student is 18-year-old Samuel Patten, the Onondaga County District Attorney said.

The second student, 18-year-old Kyle Anderson, is accused of driving Patten to and from the fraternity house until being caught by police, the DA and Syracuse University administrators said…
