SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office accreditation assessment team is seeking public comment.
The sheriff’s office said on Tuesday that a site-based assessor from the Commission of Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. will visit on Oct. 6.
The CALEA is set to examine the sheriff’s office policy and procedures, management, operation and support services. The sheriff’s office has to comply with 163 standards to gain accredited status. The accreditation lasts four years…
