Syracuse, N.Y. — Longtime fans of Ocean Sushi’s original spot in Liverpool will hardly recognize Ocean Sushi 2.
The original, a small space with a dozen or so tables, is located in a run-of-the-mill shopping plaza off busy Oswego Road, sandwiched between a Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop and a few other businesses. Blink while driving by and you’ll miss it.
On the polar opposite end of the spectrum is Ocean Sushi 2, a restaurant so bold that it’s impossible to miss. The large sign along Erie Boulevard East touting the restaurant’s karaoke and Korean, Japanese and Chinese offerings might be more informational, but the expansive building’s newly painted teal exterior should be enough to catch the attention of any passing motorist…
