A continued active period for Geomagnetic activity could bring the Northern Lights as far south as New York state. Some solar storms can bring the Aurora to certain parts of New York, though usually any visible displays are faintly seen on the northern horizon.
The Northern Lights often prove that they can be very hit or miss in this area. Sometimes you’ll get spectacular displays, like the previous Aurora events in May and October 2024. Other times, only parts of the state further north will see anything at all.
