Auburn Community Hospital ousted its chief anesthesiologist after he raised red flags about patient safety, according to The Citizen.
Dr. Xi Yang’s attorney says he reported a surgeon for allegedly leaving operating rooms mid-surgery to meet other patients — possibly double-billing and violating safety protocols. Yang was fired weeks later, with no misconduct cited. His lawyer claims the surgeon threatened to quit if Yang wasn’t removed.
