Syracuse CSD Superintendent could be paid $125K as consultant, some residents furious

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse City School District Superintendent Anthony Davis is set to retire at the end of October.

However, his involvement with the district may continue. Public documents revealed that the district is considering hiring Davis as a consultant once he officially steps down from the position on Oct. 31.

According to district leaders, the consulting is intended to mentor and coach new leaders who join the school district. The contract would pay Davis $125,000 for eight months of work…
