GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — For Beverly Peterson, Marble Farms wasn’t just her first job in the late 1970s; it was the start of lifelong friendships. She was home from college when she first put on her apron, scooping bubble gum and peppermint patty ice cream side by side with her sisters behind the counter on Grand Avenue.
“We had a lot of fun, met a lot of great people, made friends, in fact, a lot of friendships that have lasted till now. We still get together, some of us,” said Peterson.
What began as a part-time job quickly turned into something much bigger for Peterson, a place that shaped her young adulthood and connected her to people she still considers close friends and family…
