Family of crash victim fights for custody of unborn child amid legal battle

The family of Daniel Waterman, who died on Oct. 8 from injuries sustained in a February car crash and a subsequent bout of pneumonia, is determined to secure custody of his unborn daughter.

Waterman, 22, was a graduate of Liverpool High School. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his ex-girlfriend, Leigha Mumby, who now faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.
