(WRGB) — The owner of a New York medical transportation company has been indicted on federal fraud charges after allegedly trying to defraud the state out of more than $1.2 million in grant funds, according to State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli’s Office.
Jael Watts the owner of Pearl Transit Corp., is accused of running a sham transportation service scheme that claimed to provide rides for seniors and people with disabilities across Suffolk, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties.
