Syracuse man claims $17 million New York LOTTO jackpot

A Syracuse resident is now a multimillionaire after claiming a $17 million New York LOTTO prize.

Larry Hartig matched all six winning numbers in the July 23 drawing: 06, 08, 22, 29, 37, and 50. He purchased the lucky ticket at Polge Wine & Liquors on West Seneca Turnpike.

Hartig chose the lump sum option, taking home $5.77 million after taxes and withholdings.

The New York Lottery reported over $53 million in LOTTO sales during the last fiscal year. Onondaga County schools received more than $129 million from Lottery Aid to Education funds…
