City of Syracuse to start ticketing violators of school red light, speed cameras program

The city of Syracuse will soon begin ticketing drivers caught speeding in school zones as part of its red light and speed camera school zone traffic enforcement program.

“We had 60,000 warnings we issued to drivers in that first two weeks. During that second two weeks, the second half of September, that number dropped by 41%, but 35,000 violations in front of our schools is still far too high,” said Conor Muldoon, chief operations officer of the city of Syracuse.
