SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Demolition is now officially underway at the McKinney Manor Housing Project in Syracuse’s 15th Ward.
This comes after significant delays and little communication, the first big steps towards completing the promised East Adams project were taken on Tuesday, with a few onlookers in attendance.
The project was first announced in July 2024 when U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that $50 million would be awarded as part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Choice Neighborhoods Initiative Program.
