SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department is honoring an officer who was killed in the line of duty 35 years ago on Thursday.
Detective Wallie Howard Jr. was shot and killed on Oct. 30, 1990, during an undercover operation. He was assigned to the CNY/DEA Task Force.
