CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — It’s a picture for the history books, taken after the Cicero Police Department’s first all-female midnight shift.
It wasn’t intentional—the three officers, Sgt. Ashley Smith, Officer Austin Ray-Briggmin, and Officer Gabrielle Morrissey responded to a call and, once it wrapped up, realized it was a historic moment.
“Wait a minute, this is the first time that we’ve ever had an all-girls squad on midnights and ever actually in the history of our department,” Sgt. Smith said.
