Residents and potential renters in Camillus, NY are being warned about a particular landlord who has been described as a ‘slum lord’. The warning, which originated from a social media post, detailed the appalling living conditions that the tenant had to endure. The tenant recounted finding a rotten egg in a filthy refrigerator, active wasp nests in a bedroom window covered in wasp feces, and carpets that had been in place for at least 20 years. The walls were covered in a yellow liquid that was seeping from the paint, and trash was stuffed into the floor radiators. The landlord, who was not named, was said to have a bad reputation in the community and was known to meet potential tenants at a local bar. Despite leaving the apartment in a spotless condition, the tenant’s experience with the landlord turned sour upon announcing their intention to move out.
