Gingerbread artists make a show of sugar, spice and everything nice

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — An older couple inspected the gingerbread house intently, like they were connoisseurs and this was a work of art — is it not?

“Very clever,” one said. “How cute,” said the other.

They could have been describing any of the 41 gingerbread houses on display at the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse. In theory, you could eat every house, as according to the rules, every house must be made of 100% edible materials (with the exception of wiring and glass bulbs for lights)…
