Syracuse Police Detective pulled over by State Police, charged with DWI in Town of Clay

A spokesperson for New York State Police Troop T confirmed to the I-Team that it charged Syracuse Police Detective Michael James Shannon, 41, with DWI on Oct. 12 in the Village of Liverpool/Town of Clay. He was driving a personal vehicle.

Syracuse Police told CNY Central that it is aware of the arrest and is currently doing its own internal investigation, consistent with department policy and procedure.
