NY Walmart Evacuated After Caller Threatens Violence, Claims They Are Inside And Armed

The incident began around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, when both New York State Police and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Walmart on Route 49 in the village of Central Square to investigate the alarming report, according to State Police.

According to troopers, the caller phoned the store, said they were inside and armed, and issued a threat of violence.

Police then immediately evacuated shoppers and employees while search teams swept the building. K9 units from both State Police and the Sheriff’s Office helped in the search…
