Proposed housing development in Onondaga raising concerns from residents

Early details were shared with neighbors on Tuesday about a project proposal for a new housing development in the Town of Onondaga. For now, it’s just a concept on a poster board, but developers are hoping to turn the space into 436 housing units.

The complex would be a mix of residential spaces. This would include studios, one bedrooms, single-family homes and 55-year-old and up homes. It would be built on 90 acres of land off Ball Road by the developer, Stoneridge Development LLC.

This comes as Onondaga County will need upwards of 12,000 new homes if Micron comes to fruition…
