SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)– Two young girls are spreading holiday cheer by donating toys to kids in hospitals instead of receiving gifts themselves.
For this Christmas, the Wight sisters, 8-year-old Audrey and 4-year-old Amelia, chose to deliver armloads of toys to patients at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, wishing to spread joy rather than receive presents.
“I just like to make people smile,” Audrey said.
Each year, Audrey and Amelia ask guests at their birthday parties to bring gifts to donate, rather than for themselves, ensuring that children who may not be able to open presents at home can still experience the joy of receiving gifts…
