SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — In Clinton Square, a giant menorah looms high across from a brightly lit Christmas tree. People gathered Sunday night, Dec. 14, as the local rabbi and the mayor inaugurated the start of Hanukkah.
But this year, the dim light of the lanterns shone through an evening darkness that stretched from across an ocean.
