Former Baldwinsville police chief is back on payroll for short stint to help replacement with transition

Baldwinsville, NY – Village leaders have rehired their former police chief for a temporary, short-term job — helping the newly appointed chief transition into the post.

Former Chief Michael Lefancheck went back on the payroll in early December to help Michael J. Lockwood adjust to his new duties as chief. The extra duty will cost the village a maximum of $14,300.
