McMahon: Water levels stabilized some amid water main repairs, says no need for emergency water distribution this weekend

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said Friday that the situation of conserving water in some towns looks to have stabilized as construction continues to repair a complex water main break earlier this week.

McMahon said Onondaga County Water Authority (OCWA)’s efforts to redistribute water through the county’s systems to the affected area have also been helpful.

“We’ve had about three days in a row of, you know, net usage, not positive, neutral usage where the water being rerouted into the system is essentially what’s being taken out,” McMahon said at a press conference Friday. “Because of that, certainly that gives time with emergency planning and also execution to get the construction project done.”…
