OCWA readies to fix ruptured transmission line as crews, equipment flow in from as far as Texas

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Water Authority will spend the weekend getting ready to repair a ruptured transmission line on Monday as work crews and equipment stream in from as far as Texas.

Officials said that the water flowing into the system that feeds six towns east of the ruptured line is still equal to the usage. That means no one, for now, in those towns is likely to run out of water.

That balance still depends on businesses and residents continuing to scale back their water usage, officials said…
