Driver caught running red light in Seneca arrested on felony charge

A traffic stop in the Town of Fayette led to a felony arrest early Saturday morning.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Berain L. Winfield of Syracuse just after 1 a.m. for aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree—a Class E felony.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy pulled Winfield over after watching his vehicle run a solid red light at the intersection of State Route 336 and State Route 96 in the Town of Varick.
