SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A stabbing in Syracuse has left five people injured.
On Thursday, Jan. 1, around 2:12 a.m., Syracuse Police Officers and the Armory Square Detail responded to the intersection of South Franklin Street and West Jefferson Street for a reported fight.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple people engaging in a physical altercation near the street corner. Officers were approached by a 25-year-old male with an apparent stab wound to his leg that was heavily bleeding. They immediately rendered medical aid, and sent him to University Hospital.
