Prison time follows Auburn home invasion

A violent apartment break-in sent an Auburn man to state prison this week, according to The Citizen.

Police said the early-morning Sept. 1 robbery unfolded at Auburn Heights Apartments, where three men forced their way inside and stole cash. Officers arrested two suspects at the scene, while a third ran but didn’t stay free long.

That man, Trentyn D. Jackson, later faced additional charges tied to a separate strangulation case and an escape attempt. A Cayuga County judge sentenced him to 3½ years in prison, with five years of supervision afterward, plus restitution and protection orders for victims in Auburn…
