2 CNY men arrested after 3-day shoplifting spree at Bass Pro Shops

New York State Police have arrested two East Syracuse men in connection with a series of retail thefts at Bass Pro Shops that netted more than $3,000 in merchandise.

Zachary S. Rathburn, 42, and Corey Scott, 42, face charges of grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, and conspiracy in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor, according to State Police. The charges stem from thefts that occurred on Dec. 18, 19, and 21, at the store located in the Fingerlakes Mall in the town of Aurelius.

State Police said the investigation revealed the two men worked together to steal hunting and outdoor equipment from the store over multiple dates. Surveillance footage and assistance from the public helped investigators identify the suspects…
