Central New York residents should prepare for dangerous wind chills and strong winds on Tuesday as an arctic air mass plunges into the region.
The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for portions of Central New York from 10 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday. Wind chills are expected to drop between minus-five and minus-20 degrees Tuesday morning as temperatures fall into the single digits and teens, coupled with strong winds.
