Below-zero wind chills before heavy snow arrives Sunday

Looking ahead to a very active winter weather pattern this weekend across central New York with numerous warnings, watches, and advisories. Today we have winter storm warnings running till 7PM tonight across the Tug Hill region as lake effect snow will drop significant snow across the higher elevations of Oswego, Lewis, and Jefferson Counties.

Here’s a check at the snowfall forecast through 2pm Saturday afternoon. Syracuse will likely get a quick burst of snow after sunset tonight with lingering flurries possible Saturday morning. Harder hit spots across central New York will end up between 3-6″ from the lake effect tonight.
