Delta flight diverts to Syracuse after in-flight medical emergency

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Delta Air Lines flight was diverted to Syracuse Hancock International Airport Saturday due to an in-flight medical emergency, airport officials said.

Delta Flight 4693, originally scheduled to travel from Westchester County Airport in New York to Minneapolis–Saint Paul, diverted to Syracuse after a passenger experienced a medical issue.

Just before 4 p.m., a plane made an emergency landing at the Syracuse airport with 70-year-old unresponsive passenger on board, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches…
