Marcellus, N.Y. — Stone Creek is new, but feels like it’s been around for years.
Stone Creek opened in July 2025 in the former home of Daniel’s Grill, which closed at the end of 2023. In the time in between, the new owners went to work constructing a new bar outfitted with large, plush high-top stools and replacing the patterned wallpaper and textured ceiling with solid heather green walls and a wood beam ceiling, creating a space that fills with natural light during the day and retreats into a cozy, intimate space at night that’s fitting of the menu’s elevated, but approachable fare.
The tables are now donned with white tablecloths, a physical and metaphorical shift in the type of meal one might expect to find at Stone Creek, where every component seems intentional and every opportunity to elevate what otherwise might be common or overlooked is taken for granted…
