Syracuse native to perform tribute to rock legend at Grammy Awards

A Syracuse native is set to perform a tribute to a rock legend at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

Post Malone will lead a celebration of the life and music of Ozzy Osbourne on Sunday, the Grammys announced Wednesday. The special performance will also include Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and producer-musician Andrew Watt.

Malone, who was born Austin Post in Syracuse and spent half his childhood in Central New York, collaborated with Osbourne on the songs “Take What You Want” for Posty’s 2019 album “Hollywood’s Bleeding” and on “It’s a Raid” for Ozzy’s 2020 album “Ordinary Man.” Post Malone and the Black Sabbath singer also performed together with Watt and rapper Travis Scott at the 2019 American Music Awards…
